Foto Friday: The Body Electric

Well.....sort of.  More like the body as art.  Do you know that there is a company, DNA11, that will create artwork from your DNA for $199?  Your fingerprints?  Or your kiss?  (ok, I could do those last two with no help, but the DNA is intriguing).

His and hers?

Now, speaking of fingerprint portraits, try this on for size.

Yes, a portrait of Philip Glass by Chuck Close made from fingerprints.  If you are not familiar with Chuck Close's work you need to motivate and check it out.  He is simply awesome.  I have been a fan for years!!

Lastly, in the DNA meets total grossness arena, there is the gum wall in Seattle.  I'm thinking PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARD, but what do I know.

LOVE Chuck Close. He is the MAN. Too bad about his sickness :(

His airbrush paintings from way back when are still AMAZING.

The first thing that it comes to my mind. It is if that building would smell bad after so many bubble gum attached to the wall.
