6. Your view on mainstream music.
I have no view. I can see nothing from atop my lofty perch or superiority. All kidding aside, I have no idea. I don't listen to the radio, does anyone? I am so woefully uninformed when it comes to current music. I usually find myself listening to 1st Wave on XM Radio; 80's alternative or new wave stuff. I am a huge fan of jazz, but old school stuff: Coltrane, Miles, Parker, Nina, Ella, Ellington...you get it. I also like classical and am not too picky about that. Yes, I know all the words to many classic rock tunes too, but I'm looking backwards instead of ahead.
If I find myself liking something current, I've usually found it quite by accident. Usually during a musical interlude during a podcast, a commercial, a movie, etc. My current 'Repeat item' on my ipod are these two songs.

and "I Follow Rivers" by Lykke Li (the river theme here is merely coincidence)

Ok...I do still listen to radio! but I listen to public radio, which means no commercials and an introduction to really cool music. Thanks for sharing your favs!
