California Countdown

Or 10 Reasons Why My Vacation to California was Da Bomb!

10. The Counter; best damn burger evah!
9. Dinah's; baked apple pancakes the size of your head.
8. Culver City Municipal Plunge; the awesomest pool I've set foot in.
7. Weather , weather, weather.....temperate days, cool nights, NO RAIN (very important this year coming from the northeast)
6. Da Beach; way better than the ones in NYC (even better with the $2 Sponge Bob kite)
5. Menchies Frozen Yogurt, do I really need to say more? (coming soon to NYC!)
4. Sleeping in, 'nuf said.
3. Boat ride in Marina Del Rey and Train ride in Griffin Park
2. Spending time with my sis and her hubby and having lots of laughs....right Miss Goldshoe?

And the number one reason my trip to Cali was da bomb:

1. Getting to watch my brother in law dupe my hubby into ordering and devouring a 1lb. burger with fixins (then getting to listen to him complain about it for days...)

This is Zac Sunderland's Boat. He is the 16 year old who circumnavigated the world solo. He just returned on July 16th after a year on the water. Awesome achievement. you can find his blog here.

This is me circumnavigating the Bollona Bike Trail, somehow not as impressive.

The sunset at the end of the trail.

Dinah's baked German apple pancake; can't eat just one bite!

Trains!!!! Crack for toddlers.

OK, now you've got me missing Cali!!

Loved seeing all the family and sights in your photos. And I could almost feel that cool sea breeze -- almost ...

Great pictures! I'm glad you had such a fantastic time - the frozen yogurt sounds wonderful. And, about your so called "not impressive" photo, you got in your ride on vacation. That's impressive :-)
